Sony announces 13 more PS VR2 games, bringing the launch window total to over 30

In a word, Sony’s upcoming PlayStation VR2 is on track to provide a respectable range of games in its first year of availability. In addition to the games already announced for the second-generation headset, Sony has unveiled 13 additional titles, many of which will be available in the first month launch window.

Highlights include titles from popular franchises such as No Man’s Sky, Resident Evil Village, and Horizon Call of the Mountain. There’s also a free PS VR2 update for Gran Turismo 7 set to release on launch day.

Developer Polyphony Digital said the GT7 will take full advantage of the headset’s next-generation features, including eye tracking and foveal rendering. Split-screen two-player racing won’t support virtual reality, we’re told, but all other race modes, including online competition, will.

The first VR game with official NFL and NFLPA licenses is called NFL Pro Era. Players will be tested to determine if they have what it takes to carry their favorite team to the Super Bowl, or they can choose a more laid-back option like playing wrestling with friends at a well-known stadium.

Additionally coming to PS VR2 is Kayak VR: Mirage. This beautiful simulator, which debuted last summer, emphasizes images. Enjoy photorealistic graphics, a wide variety of wildlife, and a well-rounded audio as you paddle alongside dolphins in Costa Rica, sail through ice caves in Antarctica, or soak up the sun against Australian canyons.
